Family Support Groups- Addiction of any sort is a community crisis. CARE, INC. recognizes that family and other significant relationships are important to the recovery process. Our family support groups are designed to provide participants and their families with information and support while at the same time empowering them with coping skills to endure the plethora of challenges accompanying the initial stages of recovery.
Alumni Support Groups-
Research indicates that the first year of a client’s sobriety is their most vulnerable time to re-use in the recovery process. The client experiences great difficulty in their efforts to continue abstaining from substance use without adequate support and aftercare. Although the process is painful, a large degree of reassurance is often gleaned from relationships with others who have overcome very difficult moments on the recovery journey. Weekly meetings provide the vehicle allowing our alumni group to offer needed follow-up support, as well as offer referrals to local twelve-step systems. Our alumni groups are designed to empower participants with an available support system to ensure healthy recovery and relapse prevention skill sets.
